INVITATION TO LOCAL FOOTPRINT PROGRAMME ON “POPULATION, CLIMATE CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT”
The Department of Social Development (DSD), Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD), the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) will be presenting a seminar series focusing on the themes and case studies of the LEAD International Session. These seminars are scheduled …to take place from May 2010 until October 2010.
Each seminar aims to create awareness amongst local stakeholders on the significance of climate change for local sustainable human development and to leave behind a lasting legacy within the
municipality. With this in mind the local footprint programme approach has been developed to help reach this objective and also to build local capacity within the municipality to deal with climate change issues.
