Faygon and Jenni-Lee

Why We Dance?
We have a fruitful dance career, with many up’s and down’s, but we stuck through for just over 10 years now. When it comes to the two of us, we are really there for the love of dance… All this is for the love of dance. We had very tough decisions to make at stages in our lives, but here we are still at it going strong.
Our dance coach lives in Cape Town, and we have to dig quite deeply into their pockets to assist in getting him to Port Elizabeth, and then to give us dance lessons, which are quite pricy too. As you may not be aware Dancesport is growing quite rapidly, especially in the Ballroom and Latin American side of it. It is also an extremely expensive sport, considering the dance lessons, travel, accommodation and outfits etc…
We struggle to get sponsorships, so we resort in having tiny fundraisers here and there, which really doesn’t cover much. Well over 90% of money spent on dancing comes of our pockets.
Expenses:
Monthly fees and lessons works out to just under R1000 per month,
Transport with a minibus approx. R500 pp
Accommodation approx. R1500 pp (considering the amount of days we might have to be in the place)
Outfits prices for myself (Faygon Bezuidenhout) Range between R2000 and R4000
Dresses for Jenni – Lee Range between R2500 and R7000 as stoning of dresses is quite pricy.

Why We Dance?
Dancing has really become a passion for the two of us, and living in the same home, we are constantly competing with each other to be the best that we can be. We are very a hard working couple, taking in everything our dance instructor tells and really putting in the hours and it has paid off.
