The next Wholesome Market will be held on Saturday, 6 November 2010 from 10am to 3pm at Holmeleigh Farm, Kragga Kamma Road with a bit of a difference. At this market we will have a Comical Gypsy with Gumboot Fusion Dance Show!
Rushka Johnson talks about what they are all about:
We are doing a comedy gypsy dance with big skirts and lots of colour. We have invented our own gypsy language which is a gibberish of Spanish and Xhosa. The audience can understand what we are saying only by the tones in our voices and our facial expressions etc. (quite ridiculously funny) The dancing is a fusion of bellydance, gypsy and movement, all with a story to tell.
